Chapter 76 Grace's face turned red with embarrassment . In the days she'd spent with Cole , she had kissed him more than she had kissed Zane in the past three years combined . She didn't even know how to respond to him and could only murmur stutteringly , " I - I'm awake … " His lidded gaze carried a hint of teasing . " Do you still want to drink ? " " No thanks , " she replied quickly . She decisively returned to her seat and drank her soup with her head down .

She didn't dare meet his gaze for the rest of the day . She was afraid that he would approach her for a kiss again the moment their eyes met . Later in the afternoon , she found an excuse to leave . However , just as she was about to call a taxi , Cole handed her a set of car keys . " You can take my car . " " Thank you . I'll buy myself an electric scooter some other day when I have the time . " Cole's eyes flashed coldly at that , but he said nothing . " Alright .

" As he watched her leave , he thought to himself that despite them being married , she did not regard him as her husband at all . He sighed lightly and pinched the bridge of his nose . Grace had returned to the Harper residence simply because Grayson had told her over the phone that he would figure out a solution regarding the shares . She didn't need a father like Grayson , but she absolutely had to get everything that once belonged to Serena back .

She had already made several plans before coming back here . If she didn't have her back to the wall , she would never have resorted to such extreme measures . When she arrived at the Harper residence , Nydia looked her up and down before commenting disdainfully , " So , you came back alone ? It looks like Mr. Jensen doesn't think much of you either . Mrs. Grace Jensen , my foot . It's nothing but a facade . " Grace chuckled .

" That's still better than someone who attempted to climb into another man's bed and was tossed out . You don't even qualify as a girlfriend , let alone a wife , so how do you still have the nerve to put on airs here ? " If I were you , I'd hole up at home and refuse to go out for three months . You're certainly shameless in comparison . " Grace was a witness to that embarrassing incident , so her every word affected Nydia deeply .
