Iris slows her training some. Even simple movements tire her. Tilda is a miracle worker though and managed to get her medicine, though she remained rather cryptic about how she got the healer to give. She was also adamant that Iris come to her when she runs out rather than going to the healer herself.

Iris wanted to question it, but she could tell Tilda wasn’t going to budge on it. So, she just took it for the gift it is. It helps her exhaustion slightly. But not enough to warrant longer work outs. Instead, she uses it to help her chat with guests.

As the ball approaches, more and more guests arrive. In the chaos of so many people in the house, Iris can pretty easily disappear in the crowd. Making it easier for her to stay out of her room for longer..

Or maybe Cedric gave up trying to confine her. She doubts that. He’s probably just too busy to be thinking of her right now. She expects the thought to sting. It had once. But now it just feels expected.

There’s an informal gathering in the gardens today and Iris hopes to scope out some potential mates, or even just a short-term connection to help with her health. She’s been researching and forming a temporary bond can help with health-related issues.
