Sanaya’s P.O.V

“This is pure bliss!” Alina moaned as she dunked her head under water and came up for air a few moments later. Amber had to answer an urgent call so she wasn’t able to join us but Alina had kept me company.

From what Lance had told me, she was a newly turned vampire who was still adjusting to the immortal world, so in many ways, she was like me. We were even of the same age, although her body was now frozen at twenty-five, the year she was transformed and will remain so for a very long time. Immortals aged like stone. We know that it’ll eventually turn to soil, but that transformation will take eons to fully come to effect.

As for Lancelin, he and I had to be separated after we were interrupted because I was being tossed from one of his family member to another; being hugged and pampered and interrogated at the same time and never in my life had I felt so loved. It felt so good to be accepted by your boyfriend’s family although I was yet to meet his father. My mom’s family members are all based in India and we don’t usually have that much funds to visit them and my father’s parents were divorced who stopped all contact with us right after he died, so I never really got to experience the warmth of a big family. But I was thankful for Lancelin’s family for giving me such a warm welcome, even though that meant almost no time with him.

“You’re the only other companion I’ve met so far.” I told her, slipping into the water comfortably as the rose petals covered me up to my chest. “Actually, you’d be the only Queen that I’d met so far…apart from Lance’s mother of course.”
