Then came Zoey's tear-laced voice. "Please don't, Dr. Logan. Maybe... maybe she just did it in a moment of anger... Ferris, please don't hold it against her. After all... we all went to the same medical school."

Hah. The underlying message was crystal clear: she was firmly cementing the narrative that I was the one who reported Ferris.
