Chapter 467: "Grandpa, Mom, this is Norene," Giovanna said, gesturing toward the young woman. "She told me the necklace has been hers since she was a child." Floyd, sitting stiffly on the sofa, shifted his gaze toward Norene, his sharp eyes narrowing. Beside him, Eleanor stood frozen, her face alight with barely contained hope. Eleanor clasped her hands tightly, trying to keep her emotions from spilling over. Floyd, on the other hand, wore a skeptical frown. How could this woman be the one they'd been searching for? His voice was steady and commanding.

"This necklace - are you absolutely certain it belongs to you? You didn't take it from someone else, did you?" Norene's chest tightened, and a flicker of panic crossed her face. Had the old man already figured out the truth? Norene decided to take a chance. Forcing herself to appear calm, she replied, "This necklace has been mine for as long as I can remember." Eleanor, unsettled by Floyd's stern tone, quickly interjected, "Floyd, don't frighten Ada!" Hearing Eleanor's words, Norene felt a surge of relief. Her gamble had paid off.

The DNA test must have confirmed that Gracie shared blood ties with this family. Because of Gracie, Norene had successfully claimed the identity of the wealthy family's long-lost descendant! Eleanor walked toward Norene, her eyes brimming with tears. She softly said, "Ada, my dear, I am your mother." Noticing the tenderness in Eleanor's approach, Norene responded plainly, "Mom." The moment Norene called her "Mom," Eleanor's tears flowed freely. "Ada, I've searched for you for so long.

Where have you been?" Eleanor cried, her voice full of emotion, and without thinking, she pulled Norene into a tight embrace. Norene wrapped her arms around Eleanor, feeling a warmth she hadn't known since her own mother's death. "Mom, I've missed you so much," she said. @ gⳑν﹒ Giovanna, who was nearby, gave them a doubtful look, while Floyd seemed uneasy. "Eleanor, don't get carried away just yet. We haven't proven she's really Ada," Floyd warned. Eleanor quickly answered, "Dad, she's my daughter. I'm certain she's Ada. Nathaniel already did a paternity test for us.

How could it be false?" Nathaniel tried to ease Floyd's worries too. "Yes, Grandpa, a friend of mine helped with the paternity test. It's accurate, I promise." Floyd frowned as he studied Norene, then asked, "Do you remember anything from before you were five?" Norene looked him in the eye. "When I was five, I had a bad car accident. When I woke up, I couldn't remember anything before that," she explained. Luckily, she had asked Lorenzo about Gracie's information the night before, or she wouldn't have been able to lie so convincingly.
