< Chapter 10 Claim 10 Coins By Check in Chapter 10 Half an hour later, Dr. Nathaniel Hale, called by Lucian, hurried to Ravenswood Apartment. He went straight to the master bedroom to examine me. After a careful examination, he stood up. Before Dr. Hale could explain my condition to his Alpha King, Lucian asked, "What happened to her?" His voice was indifferent, as if he didn't care, but Dr. Hale dared not be careless. Dr. Hale was the Ironfang Pack's doctor, having served the pack for twenty years. He'd watched Lucian grow up. Lucian had been in a wolf clan riot when he was ten.

After that riot, his mother died and he disappeared. Everyone thought he was dead too, but Calista refused to believe it. She searched for him for six months, and finally found him in BloodMoon Pack. But he'd lost his sight and become withdrawn. Calista gathered the best healers to save him, and it took another six months to cure him. The first thing he did after regaining his sight was to return to the Bloodmoon Pack. There was finally a glimmer of hope in his eyes, after six months of searching. But after returning from Bloodmoon Pack, that light of hope went out in his eyes.

He couldn't find the mother and daughter who'd saved him. Probably they'd moved. As time passed by, he became more and more distant and withdrawn. After Calista brought me into the Ironfang Pack, Lucian changed. I was the only one, besides Calista, who could get close to him. Dr. Hale replied, "Mr. Silvermane, Ms. Seren fainted from exhaustion and extreme sadness. A few days' rest will be fine." Lucian's gaze softened slightly. "Such a stubborn woman," he thought. "Mr. Silvermane, should we ask some caretakers from the pack to take care of Ms. Seren?" Dr. Hale asked.

In other people's eyes, Lucian loved me/and worried about me whenever I was ill. But later, his hatred for me became widely known. "No need, Lucian said lightly, giving Dr. Hale a look that dismissed him. Sara Lili Sara Lili is a daring romance writer who turns icy landscapes into scenes of fiery passion.
