Chapter 300 ROWAN There's a scent that has been taunting me over the last couple of days, I can't seem to get enough of it, I keep chasing it, but I never find it. I'm drying my hair fresh out of the shower when I catch a whiff of that scent again. I step out of the shower in haste, water still dripping down my body. I pause dead in my tracks when I come face to face with Noah, putting something by my nightstand. "Noah?" She startles, her eyes only meet mine for half a second before she racks them over my body, staring appreciatively.

"Wow," she lowly gasps, her head tilting at my cock before she looks up again, shaking her head. "I'm sorry." She swallows. "I didn't know you'd be here, Danielle said you went running." I should grab a towel, or at least turn away but the way her gaze keeps dropping makes me pause, I've never seen Noah this nervous before. She turns to leave and that scent hits me once again, "Wait." I tell her, sniffing the air there's something sweet and feminine in the air, something familiar that I can't put my finger on. "What's that smell?" She turns back around slowly, her cheeks turning pink.

"My perfume." she frowns, lifting the fabric of her shirt to sniff it. I move closer, the scent stronger the closer I get to her. "That's not your perfume, Noah." I lean into her, sniffing the side of her neck. I know the scent of her perfume. I recognise it when I step into a room, no matter how big it is, and while there's a hint of it in the air, it's not. "This is you." I nuzzle her neck, breathing her in. It's intoxicating, it's threading its fingers through my brain. "Why did you smell like this?

What's that?" "Stop," she lightly shoves me away, not enough to stir me, but I do put an inch of space between us. It doesn't last. I tilt her chin up and lean in closer, my lips crushing onto hers. I kiss her gently, and she kisses me back instantly, making me taste strawberries on her tongue. "No," she whimpers, pulling back, her breath stutters despite us having kissed for a few seconds. "I didn't come here for that, Rowan. I came to put an end to this mess, I promised Aeliana I wouldn't kiss you again." She sighs, "I wrote a letter and everything, don't ruin this for me.' She pouts.

"I'm sorry," I tell her, her face still in my hand. "You should go." She nods, her chest rising and falling. "Noah, you're not moving." "I don't want to go." She whispers, her eyes searching mine. "Why can't I leave you, Rowan? This is wrong." She groans, her mouth inching closer. I kiss her again, and she seems to freeze for a second before she kisses me back, hungry and impatient, her fingers curling into my damp hair. "So wrong," I moan into her mouth. She swallows every sound, whimpering at my every kiss. "Are you in heat?" I rasp, pulling back for a moment.
