Chapter 483: The moment he hit send, a notification popped up: "Message sending failed. Please add the recipient as a friend to continue." Kristopher's eyes narrowed dangerously, a sinister light beginning to gleam within them. Originally, Belinda thought that by blocking the neighbor Kristopher had arranged, he would get the message and give up. Yet, just as she finished her noodles with Madisyn, a friend request popped up from him. "Silen, I still have something to say to you." The sight of the message on her phone made Belinda close her eyes.

Maybe it was the nickname "Silen" that touched her heart a bit. She wavered for a long time but, almost as if someone else was controlling her actions, she ended up accepting the request. She wasn't planning to engage much with this neighbor; she just didn't want to complicate things for someone who was simply doing his job. "You can relay whatever Kristopher wants to know about my day. But I don't want to see you again." After a pause, the man on the other end simply responded, "Okay." Belinda put down her phone and walked to the balcony, closing her eyes as she felt the night breeze.

It all seemed so ridiculous and laughable. The man who had once called her "Silen" so affectionately was not only getting engaged to someone else but had blocked her and even set someone to monitor her every move. Over the next few days, Belinda threw herself into her jewelry design work. The neighbor checked in daily about her progress, and sometimes, if she was in a good mood, she'd indulge in small talk with him about mundane things. On the day the designs were finalized, Belinda hailed a taxi to deliver them directly to Cox Group, presenting the blueprints personally to Marc.

Cathy, clad in a lavish, tailor-made gown, strode confidently ahead and swung open the revolving doors to enter the building. Kristopher, typically cold and distant with those he didn't know well, juggled several bags in one hand while he chatted on his phone, seemingly oblivious to his surroundings. Belinda, noticing them, felt a sudden urge to steer clear, but it was too late. Cathy's sharp eyes caught her in the crowd.

"Belinda?" Cathy's voice carried a mix of surprise and annoyance as she approached, eyeing Belinda with disdain. "What brings you here? Did you show up because Kris blocked your calls and you couldn't stand being ignored?" Belinda met her gaze with a frosty smirk. "With an imagination like yours, you shouldn't waste it on acting-you should be writing scripts. But remember, just because you treasure trash doesn't mean everyone else does." With that, Belinda brushed past Cathy, intent on leaving the awkward confrontation behind her. Cathy called after her, baffled.
